The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team resumes GLVC play on Thursday night with a road game at Bellarmine at 8 p.m. eastern time. The Knights are ranked No. 1 in NCAA Division II, marking the second time this season UIS will face a team ranked first in the nation.

UIS completed non-conference play with a 7-1 record, including a 90-76 win over Missouri Western before Christmas. The non-conference record is the program's best since the move to the NCAA level.

Bellarmine is currently 8-0 on the season. Its last game was on Dec. 18 with an 81-63 victory over Christian Brothers.

The matchup will feature two of the top scoring teams in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars are putting up 85.8 points a game, while Bellarmine averages 86.5.
