The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball program starts its conference season on Tuesday night against Lewis. The two teams will tip off at 7:30 p.m. in Romeoville, Ill.

The Prairie Stars had one of their best non-conference seasons at the NCAA level, going 5-1 so far on the year. Their lone setback came last time out with a loss at No. 1 Northwest Missouri.

Lewis opened the year with three straight losses, but has bounced back with two wins. The Flyers last took the floor on Nov. 25 and defeated Findlay by an 85-77 score.

The two teams should both get up plenty of shots from three-point range. UIS is averaging 31.5 three-point attempts a game, while Lewis is shooting nearly 24 a contest.
