The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team had an off-day offensively on Saturday afternoon in Evansville, Ill., and it fell to Southern Indiana by scores of 25-23, 25-22, and 25-21.

The Prairie Stars hit under .100 for the match, and made 22 hitting errors. Southern Indiana finished the match with 14 more kills, and it had 19 more attempts overall.

UIS was led by
Alli Splitt and
Rachel Cobert with nine kills apiece.
Jailyn Borum had seven kills and a .333 hitting mark. Other team leaders were
Becca Blakeley with 32 assists, Borum with 22 digs, and
Brianna Bush with seven blocks.
Jenny Rush was right behind Borum in the dig category with 21.

UIS falls to 16-11 overall and 6-5 in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars will step out of conference on Tuesday evening with a home match against Parkside.
