The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team picked up a 3-0 victory over William Jewell on Friday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars'
Jailyn Borum set the school's career digs record in a 25-15, 25-20, 25-21 victory.

Borum finished the match with 29 digs, averaging nearly 10 a set. She had six in the first set and 14 in the second to get within one of the record. The record then fell early in the third set, and she added seven more to finish the night with 1,791 career digs.

Borum's defense led UIS as it held William Jewell to just .162 hitting in the match. The Prairie Stars finished with 84 digs, with
Kenzie Hendon having 22, and
Rachel Cobert and
Becca Blakeley both finishing with 12.
Brianna Bush and Blakeley both had team-highs of three blocks.

Offensively, UIS hit over .300 in the match, and had four players in double-figure digs. Bush and Cobert each had 12, Hendon recorded 11, and
Alli Splitt had 10. Bush, Cobert, and Splitt all hit over .300.
Becca Blakeley finished the match with 43 assists.

UIS improves to 19-12 on the season and 8-6 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars end their regular season on Saturday with a 3 p.m. home match against nationally-ranked Rockhurst.
