The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team will go for its fourth straight win to open the season this Friday with a road game at Purdue Northwest.
With a win, UIS will tie its second-best start to a season in program history, and will have its best start since the 2008-09 year.
The Prairie Stars moved to 3-0 on the season with a 90-61 win over Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on Tuesday night.Â
Purdue Northwest opened the season against two GLVC teams last week. The Pride lost to William Jewell by a 96-77 score, and defeated Rockhurst by a 71-67 margin.
The two teams have met just once before. Last year at TRAC, the Prairie Stars earned a 97-67 victory over the Pride.
