The University of Illinois Springfield men's basketball team improved to 3-0 on Tuesday night at TRAC with a 90-61 victory over St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

UIS started out slow from the field in the first-half, but still led 36-22 at the break. The Prairie Stars then broke out with 54 second-half points, including shooting 53.8 percent from the field in that period.

UIS forced 21 turnovers in the game, and outscored St. Louis Pharmacy by a 26-2 score in points off turnovers. The Prairie Stars had a +7 rebounding margin to go with their +10 turnover margin.

Ten of the eleven UIS players scored in the game, and eight players had at least one rebound.
Keymonta Johnson led the team with 15 points, followed by
Daniel Soetan and
Jesus Castillo with 14 apiece.
Chase Robinson had 13, and
Aundrae Williams scored 11. Williams also led the team with five assists, Robinson had a team-high four steals, and Soetan blocked three shots. Williams had a team-high +25 plus/minus, one higher than
Matt Wendling.

UIS will be in action on Friday night with its first road game, taking on Purdue Northwest at 7 p.m.
