The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team opened up a key GLVC road trip with a 3-0 win over McKendree. The Prairie Stars won by scores of 25-16, 25-16, and 25-22.

UIS held McKendree to just a .078 hitting percentage on the night after its defense had nine blocks and 51 digs.
Brianna Bush had a team-high five blocks, and
Alli Splitt had four blocks, including two solos.
Jenny Rush had a team-high 14 digs, and
Rachel Cobert had 11.

Offensively, Cobert completed a double-double after also having a team-high 10 kills. Splitt finished with eight kills, and four other players had five or more kills.
Becca Blakeley had 25 assists in the match.

UIS improves to 16-10 overall and 6-4 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars continue their road trip on Saturday at Southern Indiana.
