The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team improved to 4-0 in GLVC play with a 3-1 win over Maryville on Saturday afternoon in St. Louis, Mo. The Prairie Stars are now one of four undefeated teams in the GLVC after a 25-13, 25-14, 26-28, and 25-10 victory.

UIS had a big offensive match, especially in the three sets it won. The Prairie Stars hit .280 for the match, including a .369 mark in the three sets they won. UIS also had a big blocking game, recording 17.5 blocks and having seven different players having at least one block.

Rachel Cobert led the team with 15 kills, followed by
Hannah Nicolaisen with 11.
Brianna Bush finished with nine kills and a .421 hitting percentage, and
Megan Krasowski had eight kills.
Becca Blakeley collected 46 assists.

Defensively, Bush had a team-high 11 blocks, the most by a Prairie Star player this season. Cobert and Nicolaisen each had five blocks. Five different players had double-figure digs including a team-high 14 by
Jenny Rush. Cobert had 12 to complete her double-double.
Jailyn Borum had 11 kills, and
Kenzie Hendon and Blakeley each finished with 10.

UIS is now 12-4 on the season, and 4-0 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars will next travel to No. 6 Lewis next Tuesday.
