The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team ends its regular season at home this week. The Prairie Stars take on Southwest Baptist on Friday at 5 p.m., followed by a noon game on Sunday at Drury.

UIS enters the week tied for the final GLVC tournament spot. There are several scenarios for the team to make the GLVC Tournament field for the third straight year, the easiest being with a pair of wins at Kiwanis Stadium.

UIS (7-7-2, 5-6-2)
UIS picked up two big wins last week on the road. The Prairie Stars shut out William Jewell by a 2-0 score, and defeated Rockhurst by a 2-1 margin.

The Prairie Stars are now 5-0 on the season when they score two or more goals in a game, and 2-7-2 when scoring under that mark.

Javier Milla scored twice last week, and is now one of four UIS players with three or more goals on the year. Milla is second on the team in total shots, and third in shots on goal.
Pijus Petkevicius was named the GLVC Defensive Player of the Week after having a 0.500 GAA and a .800 save percentage in the two victories.

About Southwest Baptist (1-14-0, 1-12-0)
Southwest Baptist enters play this week on an eight-game losing streak. The Bearcats fell 3-1 to Missouri-St. Louis last weekend, and 7-1 at Lindenwood.

Drury went 1-0-1 last weekend, and is 1-2-1 over its last four matches. Last weekend, it tied Lindenwood in a scoreless game, and the Panthers defeated Missouri-St. Louis by a 2-1 margin.
