The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer program ends its regular season with an important week of home games. On Friday, the Prairie Stars host Southwest Baptist at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, UIS and Drury will face each other at 2:30 p.m.

UIS is still in the hunt for a GLVC Tournament spot. The Prairie Stars are tied for tenth, but are just ½ game out of the eighth position. A pair of wins will also give UIS nine in 2019, which would tie the program record for most victories in a season.

UIS (7-9-0, 6-7-0)
UIS went 1-1-0 last week on its trip to the Kansas City area. The Prairie Stars defeated William Jewell by a 2-0 margin, but fell to Rockhurst by a 3-0 score.

Illinois Springfield has won with its defense this year. The Prairie Stars are 6-0-0 when holding team to zero and one goal, and 1-9 when allowing two or more scores.

Maggie Juhlin enters play this week leading the GLVC with eight goals. If she can hold on to first place in that category, she will be the first Prairie Stars player to end the regular season on top of the conference goals list. Juhlin also currently ranks eighth in NCAA Division II with five game-winning goals.

About Southwest Baptist (3-11-1, 2-11-0)
Southwest Baptist has lost its last eight contests, including a pair of 1-0 decisions last week at Missouri-St. Louis and Lindenwood. The Bearcats have scored just two goals in that stretch.

For the season, Southwest Baptist ranks ninth in the league with 1.07 goals a game. They are 16
th with a 2.13 GAA.

Raegan Edwards is the GLVC leader in points and goals per game. She has played in just 10 games, but has six goals and 14 points. She has not played though since Oct. 11. Ashlyn Gibbs is the team's goalie, having a 2.01 GAA and a .687 save percentage on the season.

UIS will be playing GLVC newcomer Southwest Baptist for the first time on Friday.
About Drury (1-13-2, 1-11-1)
Drury starts this week on a 10-game winless streak. The Panthers fell last weekend to Lindenwood by a 2-0 score, and then had a scoreless tie versus Missouri-St. Louis.

th with a 1.70 GAA.

Kayla Day leads the team with three goals, followed by Chloe Cash with two. Kaitlin Knetzke is the team's goalie, and she has a 1.70 GAA and a .708 save percentage.

UIS is 2-7-1 all-time against Drury, including a 1-4-0 mark in games played in Missouri's Springfield. UIS has won two straight in the series, including a 3-1 victory last year in Missouri.

UIS enters play this week tied for tenth place in the GLVC standings. The Prairie Stars are half a game behind Lindenwood and Lewis for the eighth and final spot in the GLVC Tournament. Southwest Bpatist is 15
th in the league, one spot ahead of Drury.
