The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team picked up a 3-0 non-conference sweep over Purdue Northwest on Tuesday night in Hammond, Ind. The final scores were 25-16, 25-11, and 25-8.

UIS held Purdue Northwest to negative hitting on the night. Offensively, the team hit .345, including a .481 mark over the last two sets. UIS had 13 more kills, and had 23 fewer hitting errors overall.

Hannah Nicolaisen led the offense with 10 kills and a .625 hitting percentage.
Alli Splitt hit .467 and had eight kills.
Becca Blakeley directed the offense and had 28 assists.
Jailyn Borum had a team-high 15 digs, and
Rachel Cobert was in double-figures with 12. Cobert also had a team-high three blocks, including two solos.

UIS improves to 15-10 on the season. The Prairie Stars return to GLVC play on Friday at McKendree.
