The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team played even with the GLVC leader for nearly 60 minutes on Sunday afternoon in Lebanon, Ill., but McKendree scored three second-half goals for a 4-1 win over the Prairie Stars.

UIS got on the board first when
Maggie Juhlin sent the ball in from 25 yards out, and
Allison Hackett was on the other end of the pass for the score in the 41st minute. The Prairie Stars answered though before halftime with a goal with 50 seconds remaining.

The scored remained 1-1 until the 60th minute when McKendree scored the game-winner. The Bearcats scored twice more for the final margin of victory.

McKendree finished with a 21-14 lead in shots, including a 16-6 margin in the second half. The Bearcats had 10 shots on goal, four more than the Prairie Stars.

Sierra Cenek led UIS with three shots on goal, and
Erin Bolskar had four total shots.
Hailey Collins made six saves in goal.

UIS falls to 6-8-0 overall, and 5-6-0 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars remain on the road next weekend, starting with Friday's game at William Jewell.
