The University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team picked up a GLVC road victory on Friday night in Liberty, Mo. The Prairie Stars scored once in each period for a 2-0 win over William Jewell.
 
Maggie Juhlin moved up to third in the school's single season scoring list with her eighth goal of the season. Her scored came in the 25th minute and proved to be the game-winner. Amanda Meyer scored in the 66th minute. Erin Bolskar assisted on the first goal, and Kayla Mayer and Meghan Vlcek had assists on the second tally.
 
Defensively, UIS allowed just six shots on the night, including two shots on goal. Hailey Collins made saves on both of those shots on goal and earned the shutout victory.
 
UIS improves to 7-8-0 on the season and 6-6-0 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are in action again on Sunday afternoon at Rockhurst.
