The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) women's soccer team fell to Purdue Northwest University in a 1-0 loss during Thursday's non-conference matchup at Hammond, Ind.
Sydney Hanson found the back of the net 64 minutes into the match for Purdue Northwest (2-1) after rebounding a blocked shot from Brook Switzer.
Izabel Pina provided three shots including two shots on goal.
MaKayla Cox and
Taylor Mraz each turned in three shots with one shot on frame.
Claire Sokol registered three shots.
Sam Christensen produced two shots with one shot on goal.

Erin Bolskar each put their only shot on frame.

The Pride found the back of the net on their only shot on goal. Purdue Northwest's Kelley Sharp recorded a shutout for the Pride, saving each of the eight shots she faced.
UIS outshot Purdue Northwest by a 23-to-5 margin and held an 8-to-1 advantage in shots on goal.
The Prairie Stars (0-1-2) return to Hammond, Ind. For a neutral-site matchup against Ferris State University (1-1) on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
