The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team defeated Findlay by a 3-1 score on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind. at the 2018 Midwest Region Crossover. Among the 15 teams seeded fifth or higher from the three conferences at the event, the Prairie Stars were one of just two to go undefeated at the event.

UIS defeated Findlay by scores of 21-25, 25-20, 25-17, and 25-19. The Prairie Stars had a season-high .363 hitting percentage in the match. They hit over .300 in all four sets, including a .385 mark in the games that they won. The Prairie Stars also had the advantage serving during the match. UIS had six service aces, one off its season high, which was four more than the Oilers. UIS also had eight fewer service errors.

The Prairie Stars were led offensively by the trio of
Brianna Bush,
Taylor Bauer, and
Alyssa Hasler. Those three players had a combined 39 kills, and all three hit over .400. Bush led the team with 16 kills, Bauer had 12, and Hasler finished with 11.
Rachel Cobert just missed double-figures with nine kills.

Defensively, Hasler finished with five blocks, one more than Cobert and
Alli Splitt.
Jailyn Borum had a team-high 16 digs.
Jenny Rush finished with 11 digs and had two service aces. Bush had 10 digs to complete her double-double.

UIS is now 18-4 on the season and has won 10 straight matches, which ties its longest winning streak since moving to the NCAA level. It will be in action again next Friday with a GLVC road match against Truman State.
