Brianna Bush and
Taylor Bauer with eight each.
Tiffany Wentworth had a double-double with 29 assists and 12 digs.
"We have a lot of momentum right now," said Wentworth, "and as a team we are starting to mesh and believe we are the best team and can come in every night and execute our game plan and sweep anyone."
Wentworth now has 1,743 career assists, which sits second all-time in the UIS Division II record books. Over the last 10 matches, Wentworth has 279 total assists as she had led the Prairie Stars offense during the streak.
"Coach has been helping me see the middle blocks so I'm trying to spread the hitters out and give them more one-on-ones. I'm getting great passes from my defenders and hitters keep putting them away."
UIS totaled 37 kills on the night against just nine errors and had an incredible nine aces.
Jailyn Borum had three, while
Alli Splitt and Wentworth had two each.
Courtney Schutt added one, giving her 51 for her career, one shy of moving into a tie for fourth all-time.
The Prairie Stars have two more matches remaining in the regular season as they travel to (RV) McKendree and Missouri-St. Louis. The Prairie Stars fell in four sets to McKendree earlier this season but beat UMSL in four, both at home.
"We are just going to execute our games plans and be scrappy. Both matches are on their court so the pressure is on them to defend that."
