LOUISVILLE, KY – Bellarmine University fended off the University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) women's soccer team in a 1-0 victory during Friday's Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) matchup.

Annabel Moore put Bellarmine (4-2-3, 3-2-3) on the board during the 48th minute. Rosie Taylor served a pass to the center of the box and Moore headed the pass upward. As the ball came back down, Moore slipped around the defender and delivered the game-winning goal. Taylor was credited with the assist.

The Prairie Stars (6-4-3, 3-4-2) outshot the Knights by a 12-to-11 margin and held a 4-to-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Bellarmine goalkeeper Taylor Smith sent away each of the four shots she faced to record her fifth shutout of the season. She currently ranks fourth in the GLVC with an .878 save percentage.
Courtney Johnson rejected two of the three shot she faced.

Maggie Juhlin contributed two shots on goal while
Madisyn Coudriet and
Taylor Mraz each produced a shot on target. Coudriet, Juhlin, Mraz,
Kaylan Mills and
Karisa Rogers registered two shots apiece while
Erin Bolskar and
Kayla Meyer each added a shot.
