INDIANAPOLIS, IN --- The Prairie Stars traveled to Indianapolis this past weekend to compete in the Tom Hathaway Distance Classic. The meet was highlighted by the Distance Medley Relay team of Olivia Rohr (1200m), Haley Kerpan (400m), Lexi Yoggerst (800m), and Krissy Finley (1600m) taking first place with a time of 12:57.94, setting a school record in the process.

The Distance Medley group broke the previous school record of 13:45.41, which they accomplished at the GLVC Indoor meet last February. 

Both Aeriel Storey and LeeNaya Brewer competed in the 60-meter dash prelims, recording times of 8.39 and 8.90, respectively. Storey's 8.39 second finish --- a UIS record --- put her one spot out of the final, finishing 9^th of 15 runners.

The same duo competed in the 200-meter dash as well, as Storey crossed in 29.12 and Brewer coming across in 30.89.

Coming off her 400-meter win at Illinois College, Yoggerst bested her previous time, re-setting the record at 1:00.70 and finishing fifth out of 19 runners.

In the 800-meter, Finley led UIS with a second place finish with a time of 2:24.36. Rachael Crowley took 7^th in the event with a time of 2:39.14. Maddie Logsdon, who competed in the second section of the race, crossed in 2:49.02.

Rohr and Kerpan competed in the mile, finishing sixth and eighth, respectively. Both freshman broke the top-ten in the 24 person race with times of 5:40.07 and 5:43.77.

Alexandria Quarton was the lone UIS runner to compete in the 3000-meter race and took 18^th with a time of 12:06.28.

In the relays, the 4x400 team of Finley, Kerpan, Logsdon, and Yoggerst took third with a time of 4:49.17.
