Clash with Saint Joseph’s Headlines Weekend for Men’s Soccer

SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Illinois Springfield men's soccer team will continue their ten-game conference stretch by hosting Saint Joseph's College and the University of Indianapolis this weekend. UIS hosts St. Joe's on Friday at 5:00 pm before closing the weekend with UIndy on Sunday at 2:30 pm, following the conclusion of the women's game.

SETTING THE STAGE
Illinois Springfield comes into the match with a 3-3 overall record and 3-1 mark in GLVC play. The three wins in conference play has already surpassed their win total in conference last season while their overall win total remains just one shy.

The Prairie Stars currently sit in fifth place in the GLVC with UIndy in eighth and St. Joes in 11th.

EL CLASSICO – GLVC EDITION
On Friday, besides being another key match for conference position, there will be many other story lines throughout the course of the game. Most notably, first year Prairie Star head coach Adam Hall will be going toe-to-toe with many players he recruited, after spending one season at the helm of Saint Joseph's.

In addition, it will be a clash of mentor vs. student, as Coach Hall will face off against Paschal Dunne, who coached Hall at Martin – Methodist.

Their game against Missouri S&T was postponed due to inclement weather, which is why they have played one less conference game than the Prairie Stars.
