SERIES HISTORYThis is the 9th meeting between the Prairie Stars and Saints. UIS has never beaten Maryville, dropping four match-ups both at home and on the road. Maryville is one of five teams that UIS has never beaten, in which the two teams have met at least five times.
The last time these two schools met, Maryville came away an 84-70 winner in St. Louis. Down ten at the half, UIS made a late push but couldn't slow down the Saints offense.
Syerra Cunningham recorded a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
UIS owns a 1-5 all-time record against UMSL, winning last in February of 2013. The last time these two teams met, UMSL held home court advantage with a 54-34 win over UIS. The Prairie Stars scored only six points in the first half before playing even with the Tritons in the second 20 minutes.
