SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Prairie Stars basketball regular season comes to a close as the girls play their last two home games this weekend. They will face Southern Indiana Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and #25 Bellarmine Saturday at 1:00. Meredith Marti, Ashley McHenry, Morgan Knorr and Leslie Hairston will celebrate their senior day on Saturday as well.

Super Stars
Sophomore guard Shelbi Patterson continues to be on fire leading the team in points per game with 9.7. She also leads the team in assists, field goals and steals.

Junior Syerra Cunningham continues to be aggressive leading the team in rebounds with 8.7 per gam, putting her second in the GLVC in that category.

Senior Meredith Marti leads in 3-pointers totaling 56 so far on the season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS

Southern Indiana:
The Screaming Eagles are 5-10 in the GLVC this season and have just come off of a 2-0 weekend on their turf. They beat Maryville 74-61 as well as UMSL 76-69. They are currently seeded 6^th in the GLVC East.
