SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Prairie Stars (7-9, 4-9) honored four seniors prior to the second to final home game at Kiwanis Stadium of the 2016 season. Illinois Springfield fell 1-0 to (RV) Bellarmine (11-1-3, 9-1-3), surrendering a goal in the 86
th minute.

Alena Eitenmiller as they complete their fourth season in a Prairie Star uniform.
UIS hung tight with Bellarmine in the first half, playing to a scoreless tie firing four shots, including two that went on net.
Courtney Johnson stopped all four shots she faced in the opening half to keep the game scoreless.
In the second half, UIS put five shots up including four on net but were unable to get anything past the Bellarmine keeper. In the 86
th minute, Bellarmine finally broke the tie as they got inside the box and beat Johnson off a cross. Josie Metzger was credited with the game-winning goal with just under four minutes remaining in the game.
The Prairie Stars have now lost their last three games and need to win their final two for a shot at the post-season. They will travel to Southern Indiana on Sunday for a game at 12:00 pm before coming home on Wednesday for the final game of the regular season against McKendree.
