SOMERS, WI --- The Prairie Stars (4-5, 4-3) gave up one goal in the 55
th minute but it proved to be enough for the Rangers (4-4-1, 2-4-1) as they upended UIS 1-0 in the GLVC contest. In a very competitive game from start to finish, a header in the first ten minutes of the second half was the difference maker as the Rangers handed UIS their second consecutive 1-0 loss.
Tommy Geile made one save in the defeat as Parkside put three shots on goal the entire night. UIS was only able to put one on net, which was saved in the 64
th minute.
Zach Allevi, who is tied for fourth in the league with five goals, put three shots up for UIS, including their lone shot on goal. The Prairie Stars fell in consecutive games for just the second time all season and gave up a goal following a loss for the first time since the opening weekend.
They will conclude the road trip at Lewis on Sunday with a 12:00 PM kickoff as they look to bounce back.
