SPRINGFIELD, IL --- Coming off a tough defeat to #19 Quincy University, the Prairie Stars will travel to Kirksville, Missouri to take on the Bulldogs of Truman State in their second of two Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) road games this week.
QUICK HITS- UIS is 5-6 overall and 0-4 in the GLVC. The Prairie Star will take on Rockhurst at home next Thursday at 5:30 pm.
- UIS dropped their fourth straight GLVC game, falling 75-66 to #19 Quincy.
- Caroline Kelty tied a UIS season high with 22 points against Quincy. She also set a single-game record with five steals.
- Ashley McHenry added ten points and four steals in her first game back from injury.
- UIS will return home for two games next week after a two-game road trip.

3-Point Defense UIS defends the three at 25.6 percent, but Quincy fires at nearly a 43 percent clip from behind the arc. The defense held true against Quincy as the Prairie Stars limited the Hawks to just 3-of-15 from deep, coming in at just 20 percent.
Patterson Leads in Points Sophomore guard,
Shelbi Patterson, leads the team with 11.9 poionts per game. She has logged the most minutes of any player and leads the team in field goals, assists, and steals as well as points.
UIS (Division II Era): 1-3 vs. Truman State University This is the fifth overall meeting between the Prairie Stars and the Bulldos. UIS fell in the first three games but won the lone match-up last season, a dominating 72-57 win in Springfield.
Last Time The last time the Prairie Stars bested the Hawks was in January of 2015, Jameeshia Armstrong had a team high 16 points but
Shelbi Patterson added 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists as a freshman.
Syerra Cunningham had the biggest day for the Prairie Stars, recording a double-double with 10 points, and 13 rebounds but also added in four assists.
