SPRINGFIELD, IL --- The Prairie Stars will look to bounce back after two tough road losses last week to UIndy and Saint Joseph's. It won't be easy though as UIS is set to host #9 Lewis University (18-1, 9-0) and Wisconsin – Parkside (11-6, 5-4), both of which are in the top-four in the GLVC East.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
Lewis:
The Flyers are 18-1 on the season and currently riding a 13-game winning streak. Their last loss came on November 25^th on the road at Grand Valley State by a score of 71-63. Most recently, Lewis bested Southern Indiana and Bellarmine on their home court by 29 points and ten points. Lewis ranks 3^rd in the GLVC in scoring (75.0) and 2^nd in scoring defense (56.8), resulting in the best scoring margin in the conference at +18.2.

They also fell to UMSL, which now has just two conference wins on the season. As a team, they have a +5.3 rebounding differential, good for 3^rd in the GLVC.

SERIES HISTORY
This is the tenth meeting between the two teams as Lewis holds an 8-1 record over the Prairie Stars. UIS won their lone meeting in 2011 with a 72-69 win over the Flyers in Springfield.

The last time these two schools met, Lewis came into Springfield and left 64-37 winners. Syerra Cunningham led the Prairie Stars with 10 points and pulled down five rebounds. Meredith Marti scored nine points, making three three's on the night.

UIS is 1-8 all-time against Wisconsin – Parkside, with their lone win coming in 2014. Winning 60-56 at home, the Stars are 1-3 in Springfield and 0-5 away from home in the series. Last season, the Rangers won 70-45 in Springfield despite a 12 point effort from Syerra Cunningham.
