SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team hosts Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside this weekend at Kiwanis Stadium. Game times are set for Friday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m., respectively.

Last weekend the Prairie Stars fell to Missouri S&T 0-5 before tying with Drury 1-1 in the Sunday game. Against the Panthers, junior Kanye Sayon (Ghana) netted his second of the year, this one in the 70th minute to even the score at 1-1. After sitting out of the previous two games, sophomore Tommy Geile made the start against Drury, his sixth start of the season.

Game Notes

• Dylan Stockman continues to lead the team in goals (3) and points (6).
• Juniors Zachary Allevi & Kanye Sayon lead the team in shots on-goal with 12 each.
• On Sunday, senior Ben Flodstrom (Champaign, Ill.) earned his first point as a Prairie Stars with an assist on Sayon's goal.
• The tie against Drury is the first draw for the Prairie Stars since 2012. The Prairie Stars were 0-5 against Drury since 2010, earning their best result against the Panthers.

Lewis

• The Flyers are have a 0-7-1 record this season. Friday's game between the Flyers and UIS pits two teams with identical GLVC records (0-5-1).
• The two teams also have scored the same number of goals in GLVC play (2).
• The Flyers have two lone goals on the season. One from midfielder Edgar Garcia and the other from midfielder Nicholas Monteiro.
• Last season, UIS fell to the Flyers at Kiwanis Stadium, 2-0.

Wisconsin Parkside
