SPRINGFIELD, IL - Freshman middle blocker
Alyssa Hasler topped the team with nine kills, but No. 13 Rockhurst came out on top with a 3-0 victory against University of Illinois Springfield volleyball on Friday evening at TRAC.

STAR PERFORMERS- Hasler (South Bend, Ind.) hit .750 for the match with nine kills and no errors on 12 attempts. She also recorded one ace.
- Junior Ashley Beaton (Wildwood, Mo.) posted seven kills and had five digs.
- Sophomore Lexi Hall (Champaign, Ill.) had 18 of the Stars 27 assists on the night.
HOW IT HAPPENED- Rockhurst hit .391 for the match and above .340 in each set with its best performance coming in the third set with just three errors.
- The first set saw six tie scores and the Prairie Stars come out with a 2-0 lead, but Rockhurst swung the momentum its way and kept it going into the second set.
- The Hawks rushed out to an 8-2 lead and never looked back in set two.
- UIS stayed close in the early goings of the third set, but Rockhurst used a 6-2 run to regain control and shut down the home team to maintain the victory.
FOR THE OPPONENTS- Three players reached double-figure kill totals with Alyssa Arnold leading the way with 12.
- Setter Whitney Kostal dished out 30 helpers on the Hawks 44 assists.
- For the match, Rockhurst only had 10 errors.
