SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team travels to Missouri S&T and Drury for a weekend Great Lakes Valley Conference match-up. Game times are set for Friday at 7:30 and Sunday at 2:30, respectively.
Last weekend the Prairie Stars fell to Rockhurst and William Jewell by identical 2-0 scorelines. On Friday against the No. 22 Hawks, the game was scoreless through 80 minutes. Two goals in three minutes for Rockhurst gave the visitors the win. On Sunday against William Jewell, the Prairie Stars looked the better side for much of the first half, but two second half goals by the Cardinals made the final score 2-0.
The Prairie Stars look to pick up their first GLVC wins of the season this weekend against S&T and Drury.
