Prairie Stars Look to Extend Home Winning Streak This Saturday

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team hosts McKendree on Saturday, Dec. 12. Tip-off is set for 1:00 p.m. at The Recreation and Athletic Center. 

Fans can receive free admission to the game on Saturday if they bring a new toy or item for the boys and girls of the St. John's Children's Hospital.

Grinding Out Victories
UIS' three-game home winning streak is on the line against McKendree this Saturday. The last time the Prairie Stars recorded a three-game winning streak was the 2014-15 season and all three games were played at home. If UIS can grind out a win, it will be the first time the Prairie Stars have won their GLVC home opener.

GLVC Action
?The Prairie Stars look to end their two-game GLVC losing streak with a win against McKendree. Patterson is 19th in the GLVC with 11.8 points per game. Junior Syerra Cunningham (Beach Park, Ill.) is second in the GLVC with 78 total rebounds. Senior Meredith Marti (Indianapolis, Ind.) is seventh in the GLVC with 18 three-pointers.
