SPRINGFIELD IL. -Â The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team hosts Drury and Missouri S&T in its final home GLVC weekend. Game times are set for Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 7 at 3 p.m. Games will be played at The Recreation and Athletic Center.
Saturday is senior day for the Prairie Stars. Three seniors play their final games at UIS including
Rachelle Wiegand (Hecker, Ill.),
Heather Smack (St. Louis, Mo.) and
Nikki Madoch (Algonquin, Ill.). Check out the

Last weekend, UIS traveled to St. Louis, Mo. to take on Maryville and UMSL. The Prairie Stars lost both matches in straight sets.Â
QUICK HITS- Junior Ashley Beaton (Wildwood, Mo.) and senior Nikki Madoch (Algonquin, Ill.) have over 200 kills this season.Â
- Freshman Tiffany Wentworth (Omaha, Neb.) leads the team in assists (435).Â
- UIS is 5-21 overall with a 2-5 record at TRAC.
- The Prairie Stars are currently on a six-game skid and look to finish their season strong with two GLVC wins.
LAST TIME- In 2014, the Prairie Stars fell to Drury, 3-0 (20-25, 16-25, 18-25). Then-sophomore Nora Palermo (West Chicago, Ill.) led the team in kills (9).
- UIS also fell to Missouri S&T in 2014 by a score of 3-1 (23-25, 22-25, 25-23, 12-25). Then-junior Nikki Madoch recorded ten kills.
SCOUTING DRURY- Drury is 18-8 overall with a 2-5 record on the road.
- The Panthers are in third place on the west side with a 8-5 GLVC record.Â
- Senior BJ Specht sits in second place in the GLVC in kills per set (3.60).
- Junior Brooke Antenen leads the team in assists (804) and service aces (31).
- Junior McKenna Poynter is seventh in the GLVC in digs (422).
SCOUTING S&T- The Miners are 19-8 overall with a 1-4 road record.
- S&T sits in second on the west side of the GLVC with a 10-3 record.
- Sophomore Alexis White is tied for second in the GLVC in assists (994).
- Senior Krista Haslag leads the GLVC in blocks (139).
Up Next- The Prairie Stars host McKendree in the team's final home game of the season on Tuesday, Nov. 10. UIS wraps up the regular season on the road next weekend against Southern Indiana and Bellarmine.
