SPRINGFIELD, IL – The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team looks to get back in the win column Tuesday when it travels to McKendree to take on the Bearcats. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at The Melvin Price Convocation Center in Lebanon.
 
QUICK HITS

• The team holds a 4-11 overall record with an 0-4 record on the road.
• UIS is 2-4 in conference play this year and sits in fifth in the East Division of the GLVC
• Senior Nikki Madoch and Junior Ashley Beaton are the only players on the team with triple digit kills
• Freshman Alyssa Hasler is 10th in the GLVC in blocks per set (1.13).
• The Prairie Stars won two of their last three matches, defeating William Jewell (3-1) and Bellarmine (3-2).
• Last Friday's win against Bellarmine was the team's first in program history against the Knights.

Last Time
- In 2014, UIS lost to McKendree twice. The first match was played at home and the Prairie Stars fell 3-1. The second match, at McKendree, UIS lost in three straight sets. Senior Nikki Madoch (Algonquin, Ill.) recorded double-digit kills and senior Rachelle Wiegand (Hecker, Ill.) tallied double-digit assists in both games. The team will look for the two seniors to continue their success against the Bearcats.

Scouting McKendree 

• The Bearcats are 5-1 in conference play and are 3-1 playing at The Melvin Price Convocation Center.
• McKendree won three of its last four matches including wins against William Jewell (3-0), Southern Indiana (3-0) and Bellarmine (3-1).
• McKendree has three players will triple digit kills and sits in sixth in the GLVC with 709 total kills.
• Junior Aubry Dickmann has recorded almost half of the team's assists with 321.
• Junior Sophie Fariman is fourth in the GLVC with a .367 hitting percentage.
