How It Happened
  • The Prairie Stars created the first action of the game when Dylan Stockman's (Peoria, Ill.) shot was block out of bounds for a corner kick in the 7th minute of play. • In the 70th minute, Hamilton stopped another shot but the rebound was taken by the Bulldogs, whose shot hit the crossbar.
  • Four minutes later the hosts took advantage of a corner kick to double their advantage. UIS took seven corner kicks in the game to Truman's six.
  • The Prairie Stars took a couple more shots in the final minutes but failed to put shots on-goal.
