Men's Soccer Takes Off For Truman, Quincy This Weekend.

SPRINGFIELD IL. - The University of Illinois Springfield soccer team is on the road this weekend as they take on Truman St. and Quincy. Game times are set for Friday at 12 p.m. and Sunday at 2:30 p.m. 

Last weekend, UIS tied with Maryville, 0-0, on Friday and then lost to Missouri-St. Louis, 2-0, on Sunday. The Prairie Stars are struggling to score here at the end of the season, with their last goals coming in a 4-3 overtime win against Wisconsin Parkside back on October 4.

GAME NOTES
  • UIS is 4-9-2 overall with a 2-8-2 GLVC record.
  • Sophomore Tommy Geile (O'Fallon, Mo.) ranks third in the GLVC in saves (63).
  • Junior Zach Allevi (Adelaide, Australia) leads the team in goals (5) and points (12).

  • Truman St. is 6-9 overall with a 5-7 GLVC record.
  • The Bulldogs are currently on a four game skid.
  • Senior Corey Nolte and Sophomore Craig McLaurine lead the team in goals (4).

  • The Hawks are 8-5-1 this season.
  • Quincy is sixth in the GLVC with a 7-4-1 record.
  • Junior Taylor Reis is tied for second in goals (7).
  • Nate Griffin is in seventh place in saves (55).
