Volleyball Travels to Aurora for Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team travels to Aurora, Ill. this weekend for the Mizuno Midwest Region Volleyball Crossover Tournament. The team takes on Malone on Friday, October 16th at 2:30 p.m. On Saturday, October 17th the Prairie Stars face Walsh at 10 a.m. and Northwood at 4 p.m.

UIS was defeated by Lindenwood on Tuesday by a score of 3-1. Freshman Emma Burkle (Crystal Lake, Ill.) posted a career-high 10 kills along with a .364 hitting percentage. The Prairie Stars will look to start a winning streak as they take on three non-GLVC opponents.

Then-freshman Lexi Hall (Champaign, Ill.) helped her team earn the sweep with a team-high 43 assists on the weekend.
