SPRINGFIELD, IL - Rockhurst used two goals in the final 14 minutes to defeat the University of Illinois Springfield women's soccer team, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon at Kiwanis Stadium.

UIS Top Performers- Paige Polonus (Plainfield, Ill.): made nine saves to push her season total to 78.
- Nikki Auble (Plainfield, Ill.): nearly scored the equalizer in the 79th minute on a free kick; tied for the team lead with two shots
How It Happened- The first half was a back-and-forth affair as both teams created half-chances. UIS' Paige Polonus stopped three shots in the period, but all of them were easy saves.
- The Hawks outshot UIS, 6-3, in the first half.
- In the second stanza, the Prairie Stars' offense got going, forcing Rockhurst's Ali Wallner to make a pair of saves around the 66-minute mark.
- In the 77th minute, a Hawk's cross found the foot of Molly Beelman who shot the ball into the right corner to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
- Just over a minute later, a Rockhurst foul gave UIS a free kick right on the edge of the 18-yard box. Nikki Auble's shot was headed for the top of the net but Rockhurst's Wallner was there to tip it over the crossbar.
- In the 85th minute, the Hawks added an insurance goal when Maddie Dierkes scored her first of the season off of a corner kick.
