Nikki Madoch hit .309 with 23 kills. UIS turns its attention to non-conference play on Wednesday when Oakland City comes to town before heading on the road to finish up conference action at Lewis and UW-Parkside.
Men's BasketballThis Week - Thursday, Nov. 6 at VanderbiltThe basketball season gets underway on the road with an exhibition game against SEC opponent Vanderbilt on Thursday, Nov. 6. UIS has never played the Commodores and looks to get into its rhythm against a tough Division I opponent. The Prairie Stars welcome back seven players from the 2013-14 squad that went to the GLVC Tournament semifinals for the first time in program history. Under first-year head coach

The UIS women's soccer team played its season finale on Wednesday against the McKendree Bearcats, picking up its first GLVC win of the season, defeating the Bearcats, 1-0. The UIS men's soccer team hosted McKendree in the regular season finale on Wednesday, defeating the Bearcats, 1-0. Sophomore Dylan Stockman (Peoria, Ill.) netted his team-best fourth goal of the season, this one in overtime to give the Prairie Stars their fourth GLVC victory of the season.Men's and Women's GolfThis Week - Monday, Oct. 27 at UIS Island Getaway; Tuesday, Oct. 28 at UIS Island GetawayBoth UIS golf teams traveled to Puerto Rico for the UIS Island Getaway early in the week. On the women's side, sophomore Jocelyn Matsen (Rochester, Ill.) finished in eighth place with a score of 158 (77-81) to lead the Prairie Stars to a sixth place finish. Sophomore Becca Ramirez (Springfield, Ill.) narrowly missed the top ten, carding a 160 (80-80) to place 12th.
On the men's side, sophomore Talon Supak (Washington, Ill.) led the squad with a sixth-place finish. He carded rounds of 76 and 72 to pace the Prairie Stars and help UIS place fourth. Senior Jacob Wherley matched Supak's round two score of 72 to help the Ozark native tie for 14th place.
The UIS men's and women's golf teams continue play in the Spring semester.
