SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Illinois Springfield soccer teams wrap up their seasons on Wednesday against McKendree, while volleyball closes out the home part of its conference schedule on Saturday & Sunday. The UIS golf teams end the fall part of their season in Puerto Rico as the Prairie Stars host the second annual Island Getaway on Monday and Tuesday.

The Prairie Stars finished last week 1-1-1, defeating Hannibal La-Grange, 3-0, behind goals from Ashley Surface (Alto Loma, Calif.), Eileen Kenny (Tinley Park, Ill.) and Emily Matsen (Rochester, Ill.). The Prairie Stars look to end the season with back-to-back wins after defeating Southern Indiana on Sunday, 2-1. On senior day, senior Chukwuka Iwe (Lagos, Nigeria) scored goals on a free kick and a penalty shot to lift the Prairie Stars to victory. He is now tied for the team lead with Dylan Stockman (Peoria, Ill.) with three goals on the season.Men's and Women's GolfThis Week - Monday, Oct. 27 at UIS Island Getaway; Tuesday, Oct. 28 at UIS Island GetawayLast Week - OffBoth UIS golf teams traveled to Puerto Rico for the UIS Island Getaway this weekend. Play at the two-day tournament begins on Monday with the final round on Tuesday.

Last Week - Oct. 25 at Drury - L, 3-0; Oct. 26 at Missouri S&T - L, 3-1UIS could not keep its four-game winning streak intact as the Panthers downed the Prairie Stars in straight sets on Saturday before the Miners got the best of them in four. Senior Shelby Geers had her seven-game streak of 10 kills or more snapped at Drury, but rebounded with 14 against Missouri S&T. Sophomore Kayla Katarzynski dug up 37 digs at Missouri S&T to match her career best.
The Prairie Stars head out on Tuesday to face a tough McKendree team before returning home to play its two final conference home matches and celebrate seniors Geers, Haley Maxwell, Taylor Jokisch and JoAnna Hoffman on Saturday.
