Espinosa had a fantastic week of the golf this past weekend. Women’s golf dominated the Dan Salisbury Memorial Invitational and Espinosa was one of our players leading the way. The sophomore shot a 75 in the first round and followed that up with a 76 in the final round which led to a total score of 151.

Overall, Espinosa tied with familiar face to UIS athletics, Kayla Yn, as they finished in a three-way tie atop the leaderboard. Espinosa was awarded Medalist honors in a scorecard playoff, leading UIS to a 27 stroke victory. This week, women’s golf will head to the Maryville Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. Espionsa will look to continue her success on homecoming weekend!
