Scottie Moler joined UIS Athletics as the Associate Athletic Director for Compliance in 2024. He is responsible for ensuring the department's adherence to NCAA Division II, Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC), and UIS policies, overseeing compliance education, and managing eligibility certifications, waiver requests, and institutional controls.
Moler came to UIS from the University of Iowa, where he worked in NCAA compliance, supporting student-athletes and staff in navigating eligibility and regulatory requirements. His career includes previous compliance and academic coordination roles at Missouri Western State, Angelo State, and Montana State, where he developed and implemented policies to support student-athlete success.
Moler earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation, sport, and park administration from Missouri State University and a master’s degree in education with a specialization in coaching, sport, recreation, and fitness administration from Angelo State University. His expertise includes NCAA compliance, academic progress tracking, and student-athlete development.
At UIS, Moler works closely with coaches, student-athletes, and staff to promote an environment of integrity and accountability while ensuring compliance with evolving NCAA regulations.
