Libby Price is serving in her third year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications & Operations for UIS Athletics, starting in the position in the fall of 2023. She oversees UIS home events, coordinates media coverage, edits and designs the website and tells the stories of the Prairie Stars. She was the event manager for the 2024 GLVC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championships, conducted at UIS.
Price started her career in athletics administration at UIS as a marketing intern in 2020-21 then as an advancement graduate assistant in 2022-23.
Originally from Waterloo,Ill., Price was a member of the UIS Cross Country/Track and Field program from 2017 to 2022. During that time, Libby competed in four NCAA Midwest Regional cross country meets and placed top-five in the 2020 GLVC Championships 800-meter run. She was named UIS's recipient of the 2021-22 GLVC James R. Spalding Individual Sportsmanship Award.
Price received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2021 and Master of Arts in Communication in 2023 from UIS. She is a member of College Sport Communicators organization, which coordinates Academic All-America voting and provides best practices for college athletics communication professionals. She is also UIS's representative on the GLVC Sports Information Directors' Association.
