After a four-year career with the Prairie Stars, Ashley King begins her first season with UIS volleyball as a volunteer assistant coach as she beings graduate school.
King led UIS in digs for the 2012 season and was a three-time Academic All-GLVC honoree. She also earned a spot on the GLCV Council of President's List after exhausting her eligibility and maintaining at a least a 3.5 grade-point average throughout her academic career.
As a four-year player, King was also involved with the Student-Athlete Activities Committee. She has coaching experience with women's basketball at the high school junior varsity level and also has helped at New Berlin Elementary School as a seventh grade coach.
King graduated from UIS with a degree in criminal justice in May 2013 and is now working towards a master's degree in human development counseling.
