Kara Cipolle

  • In her first season assisting with the UIS women’s soccer team
  • A four-year member of the UIS women’s soccer team from 2016-19
  • A member of the SIU-Edwardsville coaching staff in 2020-21, and she helped that program win an Ohio Valley Conference Championship
Kara Cipolle is in her first season as an assistant coach for the University of Illinois Springfield women’s soccer team in 2021.
 
In 2020-21, Cipolle was a graduate manager for the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville women’s soccer team. She was a part of a program that went 8-3-2 overall. It won the Ohio Valley Conference Championship, and advanced to the NCAA Division I Tournament.
 
Cipolle was a member of the UIS women’s soccer team from 2016-19. She appeared in 57 games in that span, and was a starter during her senior season.  She helped the Prairie Stars recorded 16 shutouts during her defensive career.
 
Cipolle was a team captain as a senior, and earned the Team Coaches Award multiple times in her career. She earned the GLVC Academic All-Conference award three times, and earned the GLVC Council Of Presidents’ Academic Excellence Award at the end of her career.
 
Cipolle earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor’s of Social Work from UIS in 2020. She earned her Master’s of Social Work from SIU-Edwardsville in 2021.
