Stephanie Bennett will enter her first season as the men's and women's assistant golf coach in 2016.
Bennett comes to Illinois Springfield from the University of West Georgia where she was a member of the golf team for two years. Bennett graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology with a concentration in environmental geology.
As a member of the West Georgia golf team, Bennett was an All-American in 2014-15 and part of the Gulf South Conference tournament championship team in 2015. In both 2014 and 2015, Bennett was named to the Gulf South All-Conference team as well as the All-Region team. She was named the West Georgia Newcomer of the Year in 2014 and the Female Athlete of the Year in 2015.
