Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2016-17)
Pitchford appeared in 25 games and averaged 15.1 minutes. She tallied 43 assists and 11 steals on the season. Pitchford scored a season-high six points at Rockhurst University (11/14/17). She provided a season-high five assists vs. Maryville (2/4/17). Pitchford had at least three assists in eight games.
 
BEFORE UIS
Pitchford competed in basketball with Jefferson College for two years. As a freshman, Pitchford averaged 6.7 points, 4.5 assists and 1.9 steals. Pitchford was named to the Missouri Community College Athletic Conference (MCCAC) Second Team All-Conference.
 
During her sophomore year, Pitchford contributed averages of 9.2 points, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals. She knocked down 36-of-99 (36.4 percent) shots from 3-point range. Pitchford was selected to the All-MCCAC First Team and received National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region XVI All-Region honors.
 
HIGH SCHOOL
Pitchford competed in basketball for four years and track and field for three years with Marquette High School in St. Louis, MO.
 
In basketball, the Mustangs went 17-10 during her freshman year. Pitchford averaged 2.8 points. 

As a sophomore, Pitchford put together averages of 6.6 points, 2.8 assists and 2.2 steals. She hit 64-of-140 (45.7 percent) attempts from the field, which is the eighth-highest single-season field-goal percentage in school history. Pitchford knocked down 32-of-53 (60.4 percent) shots from the free-throw line. She was named to the Parkway West All-Tournament Team and was tabbed with Second Team All-Suburban West honors. Marquette compiled a 16-11 record.
 
During her junior year, Pitchford delivered averages of 7.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.8 steals. She drained 33-of-45 (73.3 percent) shots from the free-throw line. Pitchford finished the season ranked second in the Suburban West in assists per game as well as fourth in the conference in free-throw percentage. She established the single-season school record with 108 assists. Pitchford sent out nine dimes against Francis Howell High School on Nov. 27, 2012. In a matchup with Eureka High School on Feb. 5, 2013, Pitchford collected 10 steals, which is tied for the fourth-most steals in a single game in Marquette history. On Feb. 22, 2013, Pitchford nailed 6-of-10 (60 percent) shots from downtown against Parkway West High School, tying the Marquette record for most 3-pointers made in a single game. The Mustangs went 17-10 on the season. Pitchford was named to the All-Suburban West Second Team.
 
As a senior, Pitchford recorded averages of 10.2 points, 3.1 assists and 2.0 steals. Pitchford was named to the Suburban West Second Team All-Conference, the Randi Perkins All-Tournament Second Team and the Parkway West All-Tournament Team. Marquette won the Parkway West Tournament and finished the season 15-12.
 
In her career, Pitchford notched 606 points, 259 rebounds, 226 assists and 187 steals.  Pitchford tallied averages of 6.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 2.0 steals. She sank 223-of-602 (37.0 percent) shots from the floor and 105-of-171 (61.4 percent) attempts from the charity stripe. Among Marquette career leaders, Pitchford ranks fourth in assists and seventh in steals. The Mustangs went 65-43 during Pitchford’s tenure.
 
In track and field, Pitchford competed in the 400-meter dash, high jump, 4x200 and 4x400 as a freshman. Pitchford clocked a time of 1 minute, 1.64 seconds as a freshman. She cleared a height of 4-feet, 6 inches in the high jump. During the 4x200 and 4x400, Marquette recorded times of 1:51.35 and 4:25.0, respectively.
 
As a sophomore, Pitchford posted timed of 27.96 seconds in the 200 and 1:06.50 in the 400. Her 4x200 relay qualified for the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 4 State Championships and turned in a time of 1:45.56 during the prelims.
 
During her junior year, Pitchford competed in the 200, 400, 4x200 and 4x400. She charged to a time of 29.74 seconds in the 200. Marquette raced to a time of 1:53.1 in the 4x200. Pitchford’s fastest time in the 400 was 57.9 seconds. In the 400, she captured third (59.76) in the district, secured fourth in the sectional (59.43) and ran to a time of 1:00.70 in the MSHSAA Class 4 state prelims. Marquette’s 4x400 relay placed seventh (4:00.67) in the state prelims and fifth (3:58.73) in the state finals.
 
Pitchford received the Marvelous Mustang Award and the Winners Circle Award. She was also named to Honor Roll. During her basketball career, she was also selected as Athlete of the Month.

Pitchford is pursuing majors in Accounting and Business Management. She is the daughter of Reginald Pitchford and Marcia Westfall. Pitchford has two siblings, Marciay and Caila.

Playing basketball, doing hair and shoe shopping.
