 Jaycee Craver is in her seventh season as a member of the University of Illinois Springfield softball team in 2022, including her third year on the Prairie Stars coaching staff.
 
Craver was a member of the coaching staff in 2021 for a team that won 19 games. The pitching staff was fourth in the GLVC by allowing just 9.13 hits per nine innings.
 
In 2020, Craver helped the Prairie Stars go 10-8 during their shortened year. The pitching staff ranked third in the GLVC in hits allowed per nine innings, and Payton Long ranked among the conference leaders in strikeouts per seven innings.
 
From 2016-19, Craver was one of the top pitchers in UIS softball pitcher. She is the program’s all-time career leader with 52 wins and 384 strikeouts. She ended her career with a 52-43 record, and she saved nine games and had a 2.93 ERA. Opposing players batted just .266 off of her, and she had a 2.04 strikeout-to-walk ratio. She appeared in 121 games, and started 93 contests, and she threw 16 shutouts and 54 complete games.
 
As a freshman, she had a career-best 121 strikeouts, and threw seven shutouts. Craver was named second-team All-GLVC in her sophomore and junior seasons, and had ERAs of 2.86 and 2.76, respectively in those years. As a senior, Craver won a career-best 16 games.
 
Over her four-year career, UIS went 124-94, including a 100-68 record over her final three seasons. In 2018, she helped the Prairie Stars win a GLVC Championship, and the team also won the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament. Last season, UIS advanced to the NCAA postseason play for the second straight year, and advanced to the championship game once again.
