• Won three games and had two saves for the Prairie Stars in 2022
• A four-year softball player at Purdue Northwest, and was a two-time honorable mention all-GLIAC pitcher

Courtney Blackwell is in her first season in 2023 as a coach of the University of Illinois Springfield softball program. Blackwell is in her second season at UIS after being a pitcher for the team in 2022.
 
Blackwell transferred to UIS in the spring of 2022. She pitched in 27 games and had three wins and two saves. She threw 32 2/3 innings, and struck out 15 batters.
 
Prior to coming to the Prairie Stars, Blackwell pitched for four seasons at Purdue Northwest. She was a two-time honorable mention all-GLIAC pitcher. In 76 games, she compiled a 3.31 ERA and a 31-28 record.
