BEFORE UIS
Haesele spent two years with the Illinois Central College (ICC) softball team. As a freshman, Haesele contributed 51 hits, 31 runs, 28 RBIs and a .345 batting average. In the pitcher’s circle, Haesele went 8-2, compiled a 1.93 ERA and fanned 90 batters in 83 innings. She also put together a .912 fielding percentage.

The Cougars finished the season ranked No. 14, nationally, and advanced to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Tournament. ICC finished the season with a 34-19 record. Haesele was named to the NJCAA All-Region XXIV Team and was tabbed a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American Scholar Athlete.

During her sophomore year, Haesele provided 53 hits, 46 runs, 11 doubles, six home runs, a .373 batting average, a .414 on-base percentage and a .592 slugging percentage. She went 11-4 in the pitcher’s circle, recorded a 2.82 ERA and struck out 105 batters in 116 and two-thirds innings. The Cougars compiled a 30-16 record and finished the season ranked No. 12 in the NJCAA Division II rankings.
