Before UIS
Khalid comes to UIS from Shattuck-St. Mary's Boarding School. Shattuck competes in the United States Developmental Academy. Khalid has been ranked in the top 30 players in the Midwest Region by TopDrawerSoccer.com.
 
Before attending Shattuck, Khalid grew up in Calgary, Canada where he represented his Provincial team of Alberta at the U13 to U16 age levels. With his provincial teams, he has had a chance to travel to Germany playing against youth teams such as Bayern Munich and Stuttgart, and to Holland playing against Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord.
 
Khalid is a four-year honor roll student who is in the Honors Program at Shattuck. He received the Top Debater Award at Strathcona-Tweedsmuir School in 2008. He participated as a delegate in Model United Nations conferences in Montreal, Quebec and Georgetown, Washington receiving Honorable Mention for Notable Achievement in 2011. In 2012 Strathcona-Tweedsmuir awarded Khalid 'The Ben Albert Award' for the student who best exemplifies excellence in academics, athletics and fine character.
