2020- Appeared in three games … two-for-two at the plate with singles against Newman and Purdue Northwest … scored one run against Purdue Northwest … in the field, had seven putouts and no errors.
 
Prior to UIS:
A transfer from Indiana State University … did not see action during the 2019 season … played two seasons at Lincoln Land Community College … as a sophomore, played in 26 games and had 10 runs, six RBI, one double, and one triple … recorded a .338 on-base percentage that season … hit .306 in 17 games as a freshman, and had a .452 on-base percentage … collected 17 runs, 16 RBI, and four doubles that year.
 
High School:
A three-time all-conference and all-area selection … helped his team win the 2014 state championship, as well as be the state runner-ups in 2013.
 
Personal:
The son of June and Jim Steinwart … has two siblings, Nikki and TJ … an education/exercise science major.
