Illinois Springfield women's golfer Ira Joshi has been named a 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar, the organization announced.

The honor is the second of Joshi's career. The senior graduated from UIS this spring after completing her collegiate career with the Prairie Stars.

The WGCA All-American Scholar Team recognizes women's collegiate golfers for their academic excellence. The award carries one of the highest academic standards in college athletics. To earn recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, remain on their team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of the team's regularly scheduled rounds through the conference championship.

Joshi competed in 19 rounds during her senior season and posted an 82.5 scoring average. She recorded three top-20 finishes, highlighted by a 17th-place finish in the stroke play portion of the GLVC Championships. She also finished the year ranked No. 127 in the NCAA Division II East Region.

A total of 1,586 women's collegiate golfers from across the country were named WGCA All-American Scholars for the 2025-26 academic year, recognizing outstanding achievement both in the classroom and in competition.
